Why News of Good? Because sometimes the world needs to hear some good news.

The media often portray stories of what is wrong in the world. These are certainly things that we need to hear in order to know what problems to fix. The problem is that by reporting only the bad, terrible news, audiences get a distorted view of how bad or dangerous the world is. You may hear about the one robbery that night in your neighborhood, but you may not hear about the volunteers going day in and day out to the nursing home. To be sure, we shouldn't just hear good news: that, too, would be an incorrect depiction of reality. We need both.

Since the media does a good job of bringing us the bad news, this little blog is a place where we can read about some of the good news that would otherwise go unnoticed.
